The Classes
Whether students have had acting experience or have always wanted to try, these theater classes are a great fit for young thespians. They will learn about character development, the importance of subtext, how to wake up those acting instincts with fun improv games, as well as many other acting techniques. Depending on what show they are performing, they may also learn some basic dance numbers as well as possible musical numbers.
These theater classes will provide a fun yet focused environment for students where they will be encouraged to step out of their comfort zones as they hone their acting skills and grow in their love of the theater. All while being built up and encouraged in the love God has for each one of them.
Young people are invited to come work on their love of acting and the stage with Judith Conway. Judith Conway is the director of His Kingdom Come Studio, a local Christian studio with the focus of using the creative arts as a vehicle for students to experience the heart of God and then share what they have experienced with others.

Details
What: Theater classes and a Spring Show
When: Thursdays from 3:30-5:30, starting September 8th-May 13th, 2023, at Thrive Church, 318 Johnson Rd, Freeville, NY.
For: 7th grade-young adult.
Students are required to arrive 5 min before their class begins.
If an unforeseen circumstance occurs and you are unable to arrive on time please send a text stating you will be late. If a student cannot consistently arrive at the correct time, they will not be able to participate in HKCS theater classes.
Every class, students must bring a large water bottle, a notebook, Bible, and pen. Students are not able to use cell phones while class is in session. If there is an emergency, please contact Judith at (607-342-3996).
If a student loses their script there is a replacement fee.
